Lukewarm Affection: A Serene and Cultural Residential House

Creating a Capacious Space with Sleek Traffic Flows and Extensive Indoor Views

The Lukewarm Affection residential house, designed by Hsiang-Yin Chen, offers a unique living environment that combines serenity and culture. With its smooth layout and abundant daylight, this house provides a spacious and welcoming atmosphere for families.

The Lukewarm Affection house takes advantage of its architectural condition to create a capacious space that consists of the living, dining, and study rooms. The designer was inspired to expand the public area into one large space, allowing for sleek traffic flows and extensive indoor views. This layout provides a seamless flow between the different areas of the house, creating a harmonious living experience.

Located at the center of an emerging development city, the Lukewarm Affection house offers convenience and accessibility. Adjacent to schools and with convenient transportation options, it is an ideal choice for families with young children. The house caters to those who prefer medium or large residences that provide a high quality of life.

The Lukewarm Affection house stands out with its unique features and strengths. The large double-side cabinets serve as boundaries between spaces, such as the entryway and dining room, while also providing ample storage. A double-side book closet is installed between the living and study rooms, enhancing the functionality of the space. The large table in the study room is a welcoming centerpiece for family activities.

With a total area of 231 square meters, the Lukewarm Affection house offers plenty of space for comfortable living. The designer's focus on lukewarm affection as the most important element of a happy family creates a warm and loving atmosphere.

The Lukewarm Affection house was completed in August 2015 in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. The design project was driven by the need to optimize space in an urbanized society with limited land availability. The design successfully harmonizes human sensations with nature, creating a perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality.

One of the creative challenges faced by the designer was the decision to decorate the living room with an armchair instead of a large sofa or entertainment center. The absence of a TV in the living room allows for a more intimate and peaceful atmosphere. The cozy carpet and extensive window seat with cushy pillows provide a comfortable space for gatherings or quiet moments of relaxation. The living room can also be used for movie nights or reading sessions.

The Lukewarm Affection house has been recognized for its excellence and innovation. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2019 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The Lukewarm Affection house stands out for its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.
